Lakewood Care Van drives one million miles, accident free

STAPLES — The Lakewood Health System Care Van recently reached a major milestone.

Since the program’s start more than 20 years ago, the Care Van team has driven more than one million miles, accident free.

“We pride ourselves on providing our customers reliable, dependable service,” said Mike Goff, transportation director, said in a news release.

The Care Van is Lakewood Health System’s state-approved, specialized transportation for non-emergency medical services.
