Taste of the Lakes winners announced
The Annual “Taste of the Lakes” celebrating 25 years of Kinship Partners was Nov. 18 at Grand View Lodge.
Eighteen chefs brought their most delectable starters, entrees, and desserts to serve the sold-out gathering. Guest culinary judges, Steve Shapley and Amy Shipshock of Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis, presented awards in each of the categories.
The winner for Best Starter was The Lodge Grill and Bar for their duck confit with porcini mushroom risotto. The award for Best Entrée was given to Whitefish Catering for braised pork belly over pan fried polenta with peppadew confit. The award for Best Dessert went to Grand View Lodge for their chocolate hazelnut terrine.
The traveling trophy for The People’s Choice Award, which is voted on by the guests in attendance, was also presented to Grand View Lodge.
