Swedberg joins sales department at Tanner Companies

Todd Swedberg joined the Tanner Companies auto sales team recently.

Swedberg, a native of the Brainerd lakes area, graduated from Aitkin High School. He continued his education at Anoka Technical Institute in business management and communications. He has been an automotive industry professional for 18 years, serving in various capacities including sales, fleet and lease management, inventory management, Internet coordinator, business development center, QCP coordinator and service adviser.


Baxter clinic hosts Business After Hours Tuesday

Essentia Health St. Joseph’s - Baxter Clinic is hosting a Business After Hours from 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesday, 13060 Isle Dr., Baxter.

Appetizers and beverages will be served. The free networking event includes clinic tours, prizes and activities.

Habitat hosts chamber’s next Friday Morning Coffee

LITTLE FALLS — The Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce invites all chamber members, employees and guests to the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, from 7:30-9 a.m. 200 First St. N.W., on Friday, for the networking event Friday Morning Coffee. Lakewood receives Best-in-Class seal

STAPLES — Lakewood Health System was recently awarded a Best-in-Class seal by HR Solutions.

This honor is rewarded to select organizations whose employee survey scores are within the top 10 percent of employee engagement and overall job satisfaction levels.

Lakewood had the second highest overall job satisfaction score and the third highest actively engaged score among our 2011 participants on HR Solutions International’s Employee Engagement Survey, said Kevin A. Sheridan, senior vice president at HR Solutions. Lakewood President Tim Rice he was impressed by the staff’s dedication and they earned the recognition.

Brainerd Country Power earns recognition

Gary Scheeler, doing business as Brainerd Country Power at highways 18 and 25 in Brainerd, recently earned distinction as one of the top (34th largest) Cub Cadet independent retailers in the country for 2011.

Scheeler received recognition for this achievement during an exclusive trip to Eastern Caribbean aboard cruise ship “Allure of the Seas.”

Brainerd Country Power was also awarded the “Retailer of the Year award for 2011” based on customer satisfaction. Scheeler reported Brainerd Country Power has grown significantly. Brainerd Country Power has received this award eight out of the last 10 years with Cub Cadet.
