Biz Buzz: Dondelinger auto dealership opens in new facility Monday

Dondelinger Chevrolet Cadillac auto dealership is making its big move and opening Monday in its new facility on Highway 371.

Brainerd Lakes Surgery Center on Isle Drive in Baxter is celebrating eight years in the lakes area this month.

The ambulatory surgery center offers surgeries and procedures outside a hospital. It was started by area surgeons and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. The center opened in February 2005. To date, the surgery center reported it has performed more than 50,800 procedures with a minimal infection rate, excelling in patient satisfaction by getting the APEX Patient Satisfaction Award for a third consecutive year in 2012.

So far this flu season, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 127 flu-related deaths were confirmed and 2,612 people have been hospitalized with lab-confirmed influenza. The vast majority of cases have tested positive as influenza A/H3.

Visit Brainerd reported it has released a new print and digital biking guide for the area and a new website promoting Brainerd and Baxter.

Short videos, no longer than eight minutes, are being sought for the second annual Perpich Youth Cinema Festival at Perpich Center for Arts Education. The categories are animation, experimental, narrative, documentary, music video or public service announcements.

It’s free to enter the festival. Submissions, which much be in Quicktime, are due March 1.
