Brainerd Elks Lodge Polish Sausage Feed

The public is invited to an all-you-can eat Polish sausage, sauerkraut, beans and bread feed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd Elks Lodge, 215 S. Ninth St., Brainerd. Cost: $8.

Class of 1952 will meet for lunch noon Tuesday at Front Street Cafe.

Retired Brainerd Firepeople will meet 9 a.m. Wednesday at Front Street Cafe for breakfast.

VFW events announced

VFW Post 1647 and Auxiliary will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Home Post.

VFW breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 15. Full menu. Cost: $7.

Brainerd Eagles Club breakfast planned

The Brainerd Eagles Club breakfast will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 8, at 124 Front St., Brainerd, featuring the Eagles' special for $8.

The next breakfast will be Oct. 29.

Wadena Whirlaways to dance

WADENA—The Wadena Whirlaways Square Dancers will be hosting a dance Thursday at the VFW in Wadena.

Phil Miller is the caller and the cuer is Donna Stone. The theme is "Mismatch Night."

Plus dancing begins at 7:30 p.m. and mainstream dancing is at 8 p.m.

Class of 1966 lunch set

Lunch for the Brainerd class of 1966 will be 11 a.m. Monday at The Side Track at the corner of Gull Dam Lake Road and 371 North.

Ruby's Pantry food outreach is Tuesday

Ruby's Pantry is a mission outreach where participants give a cash donation of $20 to cover expenses of the program and in return receive corporate surplus food. The variety and amount varies each month. Participants need to bring containers to carry their food home. No income guidelines.

Ruby's Pantry will be at the National Guard Armory on Wright Street in Brainerd the second Tuesday of each month. The next distribution is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday with doors opening at 11 a.m. For minimum wait, arrive at noon.

The Center's Morning Club meeting

The Center's Morning Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.

Presenter will be Jim Runberg, Elks Trustee.

Brainerd Legion upcoming events

The 40 et 8 will meet at 3 p.m. and Venture Crew will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

MDAA will meet 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The special dinner for Friday will be Bob Harting's BBQ Ribs for $11. Walleye is also available for $11. Serving begins at 5 p.m.

Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club to meet

BAXTER—The Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter.

Program will be a trunk show of aprons by Vicki Jo Bogart. The business meeting will follow the program.

Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa meeting set

The Xi chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet 4:15 p.m. Monday at the Brainerd Public Library.

Laine Larson, superintendent of Brainerd schools, will present the program. The altruism recipient for this month is St. Jude Hospitals, and members will volunteer by ushering at Geritol Frolics performances.

Class of 1946 to meet for lunch

Class members and guests of 1946 are invited for lunch and sharing at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Brainerd American Legion Club.

Veterans retiree breakfast/seminar set

LITTLE FALLS—The semi-annual Veterans Retiree breakfast and seminar will begin with coffee at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Camp Ripley Hangar Conference Center, 15000 Highway 115, Little Falls.

Breakfast will be at 9 a.m. followed by the seminar with speakers highlighting Tri-Care, Veterans Affairs, State Veterans Cemetery, id cards and more.

This seminar is open and encouraged to all branches of the service. This seminar should be wrapped up by 11 a.m. followed by some door prizes.
