Tim Bogenschutz, Baxter, has been named advertising director at In-Fisherman, Inc. He will be responsible for advertising in all print, radio, TV and Internet divisions. Bogenschutz, who joined In-Fisherman in 1992, was formerly ad director for the Dispatch for seven years.

Guy Henkensiefken has started as a new agent for Farmers Insurance Group Agency. Henkensiefken had been a claims adjuster in Minneapolis before taking extensive training courses in insurance. He will represent the agency in selling both personal and commercial lines.

Fluoridation of city water, a highway 371 bypass and a public safety building highlighted a "Meet the Candidates" program at city hall. The two-hour program sponsored by Community Action was moderated by Tom Rohr of KLIZ Radio. A total of 13 candidates participated.

Four Brainerd high school boys, Leonard Erickson, Len Eriksen, Duane Doty and Randy Akre, said they saw a mysterious white light over Gull Lake last night beginning at 6 p.m. They said it was the size of a car, about 3,000 feet up and would move, stop and go up and down.
