3-year-old pulled from water, in critical condition
BREEZY POINT - A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from the water near the Breezy Point Resort Boathouse and Marina Friday night.
Police were called to the resort at about 7:32 p.m. to a report of a missing toddler. Within minutes of the call, the boy was found unresponsive in the water near the shoreline by family members, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department.
The boy was transported to the hospital by North Aircare and CPR was performed.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
It is unknown how the child ended up in the water, the sheriff's department said. Foul play is not suspected.
The child's name and further information is being withheld pending the investigation.
The Breezy Point Police Department responded to the incident and was assisted by the Crosslake Police Department, North Ambulance and Zone Three first responders.
