Arboretum's Country Sampler is July 16
The sixth annual Minnesota Country Sampler Picnic will be from 4-8 p.m. July 16 on the grounds of Northland Arboretum at 14250 Conservation Dr.
Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children from ages 5 to 15. There's no charge for children ages 0 to 4.
Those who attend may stroll through the grounds of the arboretum sampling fare from local restaurants and other central Minnesota vendors specializing in Minnesota grown treats and Minnesota made items.
Included in the ticket price: food sampling, two arboretum pulled pork sandwich dinner booths, pig races, live music by Norm's Bait & Tackle Choir, beer and wine tasting and face painting for the kids.
Those who attend may also enjoy bidding at the Picnic Basket Auction, vendors that will have Minnesota-made items available to purchase, browsing the Crow Wing Food Coop's Farmer's Market and riding on the Action Entertainment horse-drawn stage coach.
All proceeds benefit the arboretum.
