Corps temporarily closing Gull recreation area
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing its recreation areas at Gull Lake Recreation Area, near Brainerd, June 16-19 to reseal the roads.
Visitors with existing reservations may experience minor impacts.
Gull Lake Dam controls the runoff from 287 square miles of drainage area and the 10 lakes of the Gull Lake chain. The dam raised the lake level approximately five feet. For specific questions regarding the temporary closure, contact the Gull Lake office at 829-3334.
