Domestic violence training held

The Crow Wing County Coordinating Council sponsored a domestic violence investigation training and legal update on March 20-21. Sgt. Randy McAllister, Cottage Grove Police Department, presented on investigating and documenting domestic violence and stalking and Ilissa Ramm, Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office presented the legal update.

There were 75 officers and deputies from eight law enforcement agencies throughout Crow Wing County who attended the event as well as directors and advocates from victim service agencies.

The Crow Wing County Coordinating Council is a collaboration of the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office, the Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, Inc., Advocates Against Domestic Abuse, City Prosecutor’s Office, Crow Wing County Social Services, Destiny By Choice, Sexual Assault Services, Crisis Line and Referral Services, Crow Wing County Crime Victim Services, Court Administration Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department, Brainerd, Baxter, Crosby and Pequot Lakes police departments.
