Vehicle issues dominated weekend fire calls.
Brainerd firefighters responded to a car fire and a fuel line break that had a vehicle leaking gas. Thankfully the two calls were not one and the same.
Friday, at 2:55 p.m., a car was leaking gas on North Eighth and Washington streets after sustaining a break in the fuel line. The fire department handled the fuel spill cleanup.
At 11:54 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to a car fire at Costco. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters also responded to a smoke alarm at 11:20 a.m. Saturday on the 2400 block of Greenwood Street. The alarm was triggered by a faulty battery.
