Happy birthday, America!
“Americans are like a rich father who wishes he knew how to give his sons the hardships that made him rich.” - Robert Frost.
Happy birthday, America! You look good for 238, though you are looking a little aged by being bullied out of your ideas that made you by your forefathers. Hang in there. We’re praying for you.
I can honestly say, with my whole heart, I really don’t know what America’s going to look like next Independence Day. I’m not apprehensive, I believe what a T-shirt I own says, with Jesus holding the earth globe in one hand, “I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future.” Amen.
I feel bad that such a good thing America is and has been, to see God ripped out of it as He has been. I feel like Daniel being held in godless Babylon, and yet he still held on to his God and God blessed him for that.
I also feel bad about the evil tide of today. People know in their heart of hearts what’s being promoted is wrong, homosexuality, euthanasia, gambling so commonplace, disrespect for God and any morals and so on. But the current of the tide is so strong, many just shut up and hope it’ll change but not rock the boat for fear of retaliation.
Matthew 12:30a says, “He that is not with me (Jesus) is against me.”
“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.” - Thomas Jefferson. I do, too.
God bless you, America. We love you. Amen.
