BAXTER - Joseph Tishmack, age 82, of Baxter died at the St. Cloud Hospital on Aug. 7, 2008.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1925, in Shields, N.D. to Reinhold and Marian (Benagosky) Tishmack. He married Violet Bolduc on July 2, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a WWII Army veteran. He retired to the Crosby area in 1990 from FMC, Fridley with 20 years of service. He was an avid accordionist, playing with "Red Johnson and the Counts" they played at several musical events. He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion 443, Ironton, the Brainerd VFW and Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Full military honors will be given by the Myrin-James American Legion. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
