Kenneth Wheeler

Kenneth Earl Wheeler, age 87, of Longville, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at his home. He was born to Clinton and Blanche (Potter) Wheeler on October 11, 1926. Kenn served in the Coast Guard Maritime during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Wheeler Marine, formerly known as Kenns Repair Shop in Longville for many years. Kenn was a member of the Aurora #100 Masonic Lodge in Brainerd, the Zuhrah Shrine in Minneapolis, OES, Alpha Chapter #23 in Brainerd and the Scottish Rite.

Kenn is survived by his wife, Eloise; children: Donald Wheeler (Geri), Karen Wheeler, Vivian Koerner (Jeff), Kenneth Wheeler, Jr., Todd Wheeler (Laura), Eloise Rath (Michael); siblings: Clinton "Buzz" Wheeler (Wilma), Lenea Wheeler, James Wheeler (Marge); daughter-in-law, Kathy Wheeler; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gordon Wheeler, and brother, Burton Wheeler.

Services will be 4 PM on Friday, July 25, at Salem Lutheran Church, Longville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
