Lane closures set near Motley
Motorists may encounter delays on Highway 64 between Highway 210 in Motley and 60th Street SW in Poplar as segments of the road are reduced to a single lane beginning Tuesday.
The closures will occur from sunrise to sunset Mondays through Thursdays, and Fridays from 6 a.m. to noon, through mid-September.
Flaggers and a pilot car will allow one-way, alternating traffic through the daily work zone. Motorists should slow down and prepare to stop as they approach each work zone, and must obey flaggers and use caution as they follow the pilot car through the daily work zone.
Motorists entering a work zone from driveways or roads that intersect Highway 64 must wait for the pilot car to pass, then follow it through the work zone.
The project will help ensure MnDOT's transportation system continues to serve the state for many years and result in a smoother ride along 19 miles of Highway 64.
