I understand that we voters and taxpayers want the county administration, i.e. the commissioners, to save money wherever they can. Is that the reason Mark Liedl is seeking the position of county recorder? Why else would Mr. Liedl give up a position paying $110,571 per year for a position paying $77,971 currently? As I look at the current election I have to question the professed motivation of Mark Liedl of "perform[ing] both jobs for the price of one - and return[ing] the savings to the taxpayers!" If this is the case, then we could save money by electing one of the other candidates who would do the combined jobs for much less. Let's get the maximum savings!
