Pequot to hold Kinder Camp
PEQUOT LAKES - Kindergarten children in the Pequot Lakes school district are invited to explore kindergarten with two half days of school experience.
The 2014 Kinder Camp program is in the third year of operation for incoming Pequot Lakes/Eagle View Kindergarten students. It will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 4-5, 6-7, 11-12 and 13-14, in a kindergarten classroom at the Eagle View Elementary School in Breezy Point. Each child is assigned to one of the Kinder Camp sessions.
During Kinder Camp the child will tour the school, participate in a story time, work on a project, visit the school lunch room, have a snack, have recess/playtime and take a school bus ride.
A limited amount of space is available on the summer school bus route for children who will be attending. Check with the Kinder Camp Coordinator Liz Wallace for more information on the bus pick up and drop off locations.
Children who are expected to be attending kindergarten in the fall of 2014 have been mailed an invitation letter. Each child has been assigned to dates to attend Kinder Camp.
For questions about the program or concerns with the assigned date please contact Wallace at 218-562-6124 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Kinder Camp program is free and is provided by the Pequot Lakes Community Education Youth Enrichment program funds and PTA funding.
