Stanley A. Beal, age 69 of Aitkin died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his home in Aitkin.

Stanley was born January 9, 1945 in Brainerd, Minnesota the son of Paul and Mabel (Olson) Beal. He grew up and attended schools in Aitkin. He went to work at an early age and worked as a masons helper and also logged for a time. He then went to work for the railroad and worked for them for 24 years retiring in 1992 due to health reasons. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything to do with the railroad.

He is survived by his wife Edith Beal of Aitkin; Step sons: Kerry Palmer of Princeton, Mn. Monte (Lenka) Palmer of Destin, Florida, son: Darin Beal of Superior, Wisc.; step daughters: Becky (Steve) McKenney of New Bern, North Carolina; Vanessa (Michael) Fordyce of Baxter, MN.; Keely (Jo) Palmer of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; step daughter in law: Bev Palmer of Brainerd, and daughter: Debbie Oberholtzer of Superior, Wisc.; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Warren Beal and 1 sister Kathryn Pallench, step son: Lanny Palmer and step daughter in law: Anna Palmer.

In following Stanleys wishes no services will be held. His ashes will be interred in the Lakeview Cemetery in Aitkin at a later date. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. www.srtfuneral.com.
