STAPLES - The Staples Public Library is offering the following programs:
The lifecycle of a book
Author/illustrator Rick Chrustowski will give a presentation from 1-2 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Staples Public Library, for children in grades first to sixth.
Chrustowski is the author and illustrator of popular children's books about animals and insects including "Turtle Crossing," "Blue Sky Bluebird" and "Bright Beetle."
Glow in the dark art camp
Children ages 5 to 10 are invited to a Glow In The Dark Art Camp from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Staples Public Library. Children will learn how to turn their room into a nighttime wonderland with luminescent glow-in-the-dark materials, and create cool and unique figures, paintings and pictures that will glow for hours at a time, night after night. Attendance is limited and registration is required.
Minnesota Workforce Center
A Workforce Center staff person will be available from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Staples Public Library. Assistance will be provided to teen and adult job seekers needing help with resumes, accessing online job sites and other work related problems.
Preschoolers are invited to preschool storytime from 10:30-11 a.m. Aug. 8 in the Round House at the Staples Public Library. Children ages 3 to 6 will have fun listening to stories and checking out books to take home.
