Walleyedan: Hockey and turkey and fishing - oh my!
The Minnesota Wild/turkey zombie is in pretty rough shape right now, just saying!
Getting up at dark 30 to chase gobblers around is exhausting all by itself, but mix in the Minnesota Wild hockey games running late into the night and it doesn’t make for a very healthy combination.
And there’s a little fishing event coming to town next week, too. Oh, and my boat should be ready by Thursday. These are going to be some interesting times! Can you say scramble?
So they FINALLY announced the governors guide, congratulations to Ray Gildow. Have fun Ray, hope you catch “Jingles” (the largest walleye in Gull Lake!).
And congratulations to Toby Kvalevog, who will be fishing with the lieutenant governor. Boy oh boy is our lakes area going to be bursting at the seams next weekend.
These are exciting times! We’ve got the Wild in the semis of the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Minnesota Governors Fishing Opener coming to town next week and it’s still turkey season! Not sure how a person can handle of this, but I am going to try.
No gobbler this morning. I am thinking that I will grab the bow one of these days and see if I can get a crack at a long beard (now that they are call shy, decoy shy and have been shot at!).
Enjoy the weekend and if you have any interest in checking out a new Larson FX fishing boat, come up to C&C Boatworks today or tomorrow! I will see you there and we can even go for a ride!
