Hackensack Legion Auxiliary hosts Kids In The Park
HACKENSACK - The Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202 has been hosting Kids in the Park for the past several years, and this year is no exception. The event will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the park in Hackensack next to the playground. Kids in the Park is a fun time for most ages with carnival games and prizes.
Backus American Legion Auxiliary breakfast
BACKUS - The Backus American Legion Auxiliary's monthly breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 13.
The meal includes a choice of pancakes or French toast, fried or scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, juice and coffee for $7 for adults and $4 for children under 7. The breakfast is served every second Sunday of the month through October.
Brainerd Legion upcoming events
The IBEW will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the Post Executive Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Legion.
On Tuesday, the Club Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m., the Rendezvous Committee will meet at 6 p.m. and the 40 et 8 will meet at 7 p.m.
There will be a pork loin dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Legion. Cost is $11 or two for $20.
C-I class of 1974 reunion planned
CROSBY - The Crosby-Ironton High School class of 1974 reunion will be Aug. 15-16.
There will be a mixer at the Crosby Bar on Aug. 15. There will be appetizers, a cash bar, memorabilia and music by Whiskey Tango.
A dinner will be held at the Cuyuna Country Club Aug. 16. Social hour will be from 6-7 p.m. with a dinner and program at 7 p.m.
Cost per person is $35 and includes both evening events.
Optional weekend activities include a tour and lunch at C-I High School from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16. No charge. It's also Crosby Heritage Days Aug. 15-16 as well as the 100th C-I High School anniversary.

The Nisswa Garden Club presents Melody of Flowers
NISSWA - Melody of Flowers is the theme of the 76th annual Garden Show sponsored by the Nisswa Garden Club from 2-7 p.m. July 30 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa.
Members and non-members of the club will be displaying "fruits of their labor" in Artistic, Horticulture, Potted Plants, Fruits, Vegetables and Herb sections. A seminar will be held on "Tropicals for summer enjoyment and hints for over wintering." There will be a history, educational table and Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions. There is also a silent auction, bake sale and plant sale.
Entries will be received from 5-7 p.m. July 29 and from 7-9 a.m. July 30. Entries must be picked up at the end of the show.
