Willard "Bill" Dahlberg, age 87, of Breezy Point, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014, at his home. He was born to William and Harriet (Steinbach) Dahlberg on March 12, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He married Barb Malmborg in December of 1972. Bill served in law enforcement for 24 years with the Brooklyn Center Police Department. He retired in 1983, and moved to the couples home on Lake Ossawinamakee. Bill enjoyed being around home, gardening, working in the yard, tending the trees, but especially enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren when they would come to visit at the lake.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barb of Breezy Point; children and grandchildren: Jeff (Mary) Dahlberg, Tyler and Connor of Brooklyn Park; Bill Jr. and Tori of Breezy Point; Beth (Kevin) Scheiterlein, Kevin Jr. (Danielle), Jesse, Steve and Adam, all of Sartell; sister, Doris (Al) Anderson; niece, Lonnee Dickson; nephews, Tim, Tom, and Charlie Anderson; his dogs, Cindy, Susie and Janie; and his cat, Evo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 1 PM on Saturday, August 30, at Crosslake Lutheran Church, Crosslake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
