FINE ARTS STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
Abbi Browne and Grace Gilbertson
Art Focus: Brainonian.
Adviser nomination: “Abbi and Grace have been great additions to yearbook this year. All year they have shown great initiative and leadership qualities and look to be editors next year.”
How do you guys work together: “We’re really good friends and we’re honest with each other. It’s easy for us to get along, plus we hang out together outside of yearbook. We’ve known each other since elementary school, but have been friends for five years. We’re in dance together.”
How do you clash: “We don’t clash and if we did we’d talk about it. Our personalities and opinions are the same.”
Both your goals for yearbook: “To make it a yearbook that everyone will enjoy and appreciate. And to get as many faces in the yearbook as possible.”

Honorable mentions: Erika Strand, senior, art: “Erica’s creative energy radiates in the artist books she has designed and hand crafted. Her choices of theme and visual content are well executed, often with a whimsical, yet personal topic. Erica always comes to class with a smile and a positive attitude.”
Jackie Heise, sophomore, mock trial: “New to mock trial this year, Jackie jumped right into the deep end by taking on the role of lawyer for the plaintiff side. Jackie was the best lawyer at direct examination questioning. She was extremely skilled at drawing out the witnesses story and showing empathy for her witness.”
