Art Focus: Advanced TV Productions.
Adviser nomination: “Josh has been a key player in television productions for the past couple of years. Currently he is the technical director for the ‘Warrior Update.’ He is one of the most dependable members of our production team.”
Toughest part of being the technical directors: “The timing. It’s really not too hard. I’m in charge of switching shots and making sure the shots are right.”
What role do you like best: “I like to be the camera man or the technical director.”
Your best TV news package: “Earlier this year we used a lot of movie clips in packages to catch people’s eye. For one we used clips from ‘The Shining’ with a news package on cabin fever I think.”
After high school plans: “I plan to go to St. Cloud State University. I may do something in this, but right now I am undecided.”
Most memorable fine arts achievement: “Being named Fine Arts Student of the Week or being Student of the Semester.”
Artist most admired: The Coen Brothers.
Favorite baseball team: Twins.
Favorite movie: “The Big Lebowski.”
Favorite book: “The Hunger Games.”
Favorite band: “Mike Snow or Of Monsters and Men.”
Parents: Tim and Mary Davis of Brainerd.
Honorable mention: Alison Hanslip, senior, art: “Alison is a wonderful art student. She is inquisitive, creative and strives to do her best. She likes to try new techniques, color combinations and is playful in her art. Alison also has a great sense of humor and is fun to have in class.”
