AHS bands to perform

Aitkin High School bands with the Minnesota State Mankato Concert Wind Ensemble to perform, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 in the high school auditorium; free-will donation.


BHS orchestras to perform

Brainerd High School (BHS) Orchestra Program’s fall concert, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Tornstrom Auditorium; free-will donation.

BHS Renaissance Feast

Brainerd High School (BHS) choir’s Renaissance Feast, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29-30 at Cragun’s Legacy Golf Course clubhouse. Tickets are reserved and available at the BHS main office or by calling 454-6200. Cost is $30 and covers the four course meal, entertainment and concert. BHS encourages those to get tickets early.

CLC choir to perform

Central Lakes College (CLC) Music Department will present “Songs of Love, Joy and Farewell,” a free public concert, at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 Chalberg Theatre.

HSO to perform

Heartland Symphony Orchestra (HSO) presents “Christmas Fantasy,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at Charles Martin Auditorium in Little Falls and at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and are available at the door or at Little Falls at Bookin’ It, Great River Arts Center and Little Falls Radio, all in Little Falls; and at the Brainerd Dispatch and Bridge of Harmony, both in Brainerd.


Legacy’s ‘Choral Classics’

Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota to perform “Choral Classics” 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood; 7:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Parish in Pierz and 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Admission for the concerts is $10 for adults and seniors and students 18 years and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door at each concert; at the Brainerd Dispatch, Bethany Bookstore in Baxter, St. Joseph’s Parish in Pierz, Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood or by contacting Bill Satre, Legacy Chorale Manager at 820-4558 or


Irish musician to perform

Paddy Keenan to perform Saturday, New York Mills Regional Cultural Center. Tickets available at the center or by calling 218-385-3339. Admission is $12 advance sale and $15 the night of the concert. Students pay $5 and members get $2 off ticket price. For those who bring a donation of food for the Mills Food Shelf will get an extra $1 off the admission.


Grassroots Concerts Series

Bitter Spills, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar. Admission is $10 at the door for adults and $5 for children under 12 with listening attention when accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more information go to or call 839-4092 or email


‘Guys and Dolls’

“Guys and Dolls” 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday Pequot Lakes High School Theater. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 60 and over and $8 for youth 18 and under. Tickets can be reserved by calling 218-568-9200 and will be available at the door starting one hour before each performance. Musical comedy

The Wadena-Deer Creek Drama Department to present “The Lady Pirates and Captain Bree” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 15-17 Wadena Memorial Auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets available at the door or from students in the play.
