Adviser nomination: “As a first year yearbook student, Lily has been an asset to our team. She is very motivated and always willing to help others. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of her work and overall work ethic as a yearbook staff member.”
Artist most admired: Leonardo da Vinci.
Memorable fine arts achievement: “Passing yearbook with more than 100 percent first semester and being awarded Student of the Semester in yearbook.”
Other fine art activities: Drawing and mock trial.
What do you like best about yearbook: “Getting to meet new people when I am out taking photos. “
Proudest work with yearbook: “The bowling page I laid out. I think it’s my best layout. It’s fun and neatly laid out. There are three group pictures with an interview on top of them and I put a glow around it. It just seems more organized.”
Biggest thing you help others with: “Helping them lay out their pages, helping them with the designs.”
Favorite movie: “Letters to Juliet.”
Favorite TV show: “Vampire Diaries.”
Favorite author: P.C. Cast.
Favorite band: One Direction.
What you hope to accomplish this year: “To not be shy. I’m getting there.”
If you won $1 million, what would you do: “I’d put it in the bank to go to college. I either want to be a lawyer or a therapist.”
Favorite restaurant: Applebee’s.
Parents: Roxanne Cross of Brainerd.
Honorable mention: Christena Folder, junior, art: “Christena possesses a superb work ethic and some excellent technical drawing skills. She spends hours outside of class honing those skills and applying creativity to produce high quality work that exceeds assigned criteria and expectations. She’s also willing to helper peers, making her a real asset in the drawing studio.”
