Greater Vision performs Jan. 5 in free fundraiser concert
BAXTER—A free fundraiser concert by the gospel music group Greater Vision will support the Lake Region Christian School Education Foundation.
The concert is set from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at Heritage Church, 13242 Berrywood Drive, Baxter.
According to its website, since December of 1990, Greater Vision has inspired audiences with its "rich vocal blend and their effective ability to communicate the message of the gospel. They have established a firm place at the pinnacle of Christian music, and have become the most awarded trio in the history of gospel music."
The group includes: Gerald Wolfe, the group's founder, who serves as pianist and emcee; multi-award-winning songwriter, Rodney Griffin, who sings the lead part for the trio. Chris Allman, writer of the 2015 "Song of the Year," "For All He's Done," sings tenor. Jon Epley, the new baritone singer, is the group's newest member. He joined the group in April.
Greater Vision appears regularly on the "InTouch" television program along with radio shows played on thousands of stations around the world and satellite radio.
Greater Vision's latest recording, "Still" was produced by Gerald Wolfe and Trey Ivey, with orchestral arrangements by Trey Ivey and Cody McVey. The new CD features brand-new songs written by both Rodney Griffin and Chris Allman, along with several other well-known writers.
