The Shrine Circus came to town this week. Do you remember the excitement of the big top, the beautiful ladies in their sparkly costumes, the magnificent elephants, the high-wire artists, the clowns, the peanut sellers, and the sticky cotton candy?

Question: Thank you for your column, I enjoy it. ... Anyway, I thought it was a law that you had to have your headlights on if you had your windshield wipers on, like when it's raining or whatever. So is that true? I sure meet a lot of people using wipers in the rain, but they don't have their headlights on.

We would like to extend a very warm thank you to the Nisswa Area Historical Society for opening their doors to our Kinship Partners and Blueprints program. A wonderful day was had by all touring the pioneer village, learning about days of "old," helping design quilts, making rope and allowing the kids to get hands on with all the animals.
