Commander Chris’s pancake breakfast will be 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Brainerd Legion. Cost is $6.
Brainerd Lakes Veterans Center meeting will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion.
A chicken dinner by the Christian Bondslaves will be Thursday at the Legion. Cost is $8 ($7 with presale ticket purchased by Wednesday.)
Sons of Norway-Tusenvann Lodge
ISLE — Sons of Norway-Tusenvann Lodge No. 1-659 in Isle will hold its March meeting on at noon March 12 at the I.R.E.C. in Isle. Note time and day change. Coffee and lunch will be served. The Baxter Lions Club will meet Monday at Camp Vanasek. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting is at 7 p.m.
NAMI Connection Support Group
A NAMI Connection peer support group for adults recovering from mental illness meets weekly in Brainerd. The free group is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota. Trained facilitators who are also in recovery lead NAMI Connection groups. The group meets at Our Place, 606 Front St., in Brainerd on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. For information contact Karrie at (320) 232-9630.
Chapter CJ of PEO will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Hostesses are Nedra Torfin and Jo Moores. The program will be Bylaws, Proceedings and Constitution by Phyllis Struthers. There will be an election of officers.
VFW Friday night dinner
The VFW Friday night dinner of pork chops will be from 5:30 p.m. until gone March 4. Cost is $8.

500 cards at Backus Legion
BACKUS — The Backus American Legion is sponsoring a 500 Card Club Tournament Sundays at 1 p.m. Feb. 27 through April 10, with the exception of the monthly Sunday dance on March 20.
Denny and Sue Haven are hosting the event which features a $5 entry fee and 100 percent prize payback.
Brainerd Zonta board meeting
The Brainerd Zonta board meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Erbert and Gerbert’s, 406 West Washington St., Brainerd.
Let’s Go Fishing board meeting

G.S.S.-Bethany Auxiliary will meet 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bethany Community Room. Special guest will be Sue Phelps, activity director. Irish refreshments and door prizes will be in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Auxiliary members are also invited to the Gift Shop meeting at 9:30 a.m. The Good Samaritan Bowl Steering Committee will meet at 11 a.m.
Potlatch Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lakes Area Senior Activity Center for cards and lunch.
Alpha Chapter OES
Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES will meet Monday at the Masonic Hall. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by a travel log. Starting at 7:30 p.m. there will be an unusual meeting.
Senior dances will be from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday at Brainerd Eagles with music by Dale and Don; and from 1-4 p.m. Friday at Deerwood with music by Jerry B.
Ray’s Promenaders will have a dance on Friday at the Franklin Art Center. Plus will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by mainstream at 8 p.m. Roger McNeil will be the caller. There will be finger food after the dance hosted by Paul and Myra.
Mission Possible Senior Club
