Thank you to all who donated gently used shoes and purses. Those of you who purchased them, we thank you also!

We would also like to thank the many talented quilters: Trinity Lutheran Church, First Lutheran Church, Mission Quilters, Crosslake Lutheran Church, Assembly of God Church, Lord of Life Church, Colorz Quilts, Connie Murray, Bonnie Franzen, Sandy Jones, Pat Willman, Sue Conway, Debbie Hoffman, Debbie Burton, LeAnn Schoemle, Ellie Knold, Karen DeVries, Nancy Gervais, Arlene Fitzpatrick, Pat Randall, who all donated quilts to us. Without you, we would not be able to host this event. Thanks also to the Brainerd High School KEY Club who made the lunch, sold concessions and assisted with clean up. Thank you to Buzz Bereuter for being our caller. Thank you to the Master Bread Outlet for the donation of bread for the sandwiches, and to those who donated bars for the lunch.

The Senior Center volunteers who planned the event, and those who worked that afternoon are appreciated for donating their time to a great fundraiser for the Center. As you can see, many individuals volunteer to make this event happen.

Thank you to all who came to the Senior Center and played Quilt Bingo. If you came and didn’t win a quilt this year, we hope to see you back here next year!

Food shelf

The Lakes Area Food Shelf wish to express their thanks to all who gave financial and food donations during the annual March food drive. It is during hard economic times that our supporters go the extra mile by contributing so much to feeding people in need. The generosity of each individual, local business, church, and service club contributing to our drive during this special drive has resulted in three months’ food expense for this year. We would also like to thank the local radio stations and newspapers for advertising this annual state effort to fill food shelves around our state.
