Prime Time Club watches royal wedding and now plans 2012 adventure
The Prime Time Club, consisting of members from Todd, Cass, Crow Wing and Morrison counties, toured England from April 28 to May 5 and had a chance to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The club had 35 members on tour who took photographs of the royal wedding, including the bouquet and the ring bearers cushion on the tomb of the unknown soldiers from the first World War from 1914-1918 taken at the church service at Westminster Abbey and the procession.
The club, that has a mission to provide structured educational and life enriching programs through organized travel, now is planning its next tour in the spring of 2012 to the Netherlands, Belgium and Paris for the Floriade program. Rebecca Kolls, former chief meteorologist at WCCO and host of Rebecca’s Garden, will be traveling with the club to share her expertise knowledge on horticulture and floral tips.
The Floriade program, a world horticulture exposition, has taken place in the Netherlands every 10 years. Informational meetings on the Floriade tour will take place May 26 at the Nisswa Community Center and June 3 at Mid Central Federal Savings Bank in Wadena. Anyone is welcome to attend to learn more about the tour.
