Underwater Pumpkin Carving Fun Dive

Dr. Leslie Kopkietz (front) displayed the best all-round carved pumpkin winner while Paula Person (back) came ashore with her winning entry in the most creative category during the Minnesota School of Diving’s annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Fun Dive in the Louise Mine Pit Lake in Crosby on Saturday. The event drew 20 divers who braved the 50-degree water. Also winning awards were Mark Ring for the scariest pumpkin and Megan Doran for best effort.
