Billy would like to be a better swimmer

Here is a child from the Brainerd area who is waiting for a Kinship Partner.

Billy is a 9 year old who is glad spring is here as he enjoys being outdoors. He likes bike riding, throwing a football, fishing, and shooting bow and arrows.

He says he can swim but would like to learn to be a better swimmer.

He describes himself as funny, fast, happy, nice, and active. He would like to be a football player, firefighter or a police officer when he grows up.

Billy lives with his parents, an older brother, and a baby brother. His dad works long hours and Billy would like to have a mentor that is like him, friendly, active, and likes to fish.

Can you find a few hours a week to spend with Billy or any of our other kids waiting for a mentor?

For more information about becoming a mentor, call (218) 829-4606, or toll free at (877) 730-5437 or visit our website at

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
