It’s been said that one of the main factors for a successful skate park is the location, and Crosby certainly nailed that requirement. The Crosby Skate Park is centered in beautiful part of town next to Serpent Lake and behind city hall, is easy to access and is surrounded by amenities such as parks, picnic areas basketball and volleyball courts and even a public swimming beach.

“It’s a spot to hang out and be with friends,” said Taylor Hunter, 14 of Crosby, while at the park.

“And it’s pretty safe right here, next to city hall and the police station,” said Jake Kewatt, 12. “Can’t get safer than that.”

The skate park opened in 2002 with the help of community donations and grants and continues to be a quality skate destination for skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers. Some features at the park include mini-half-pipes, fun boxes, ramps, rails and quarter pipes.

The park is free and open to the public.
