Judy Nelson retires from CLC after 43 years

After 43 years of service at Central Lakes College (CLC), Judy Nelson, who worked in registration and records retired Dec. 7.

CLC President Larry Lundblad proclaimed Dec. 7 as Judy Nelson Day at CLC.

Lundblad said, “Our students have greatly benefitted from her outstanding work and her devotion to the job and the college. We will all miss her positive attitude and friendly manner.”

Often times Nelson was seen walking over her lunch hour throughout the Brainerd campus, often accompanied by Lynn Anderson, who works in assessment.

Nelson looks forward to spending more time with her two grandchildren and maintaining her regimen of daily walks at CLC.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
