Child in Need: Real men are mentors
In life we are provided very few situations in which we are rewarded just by walking into a room. Mentoring is one of those rare situations. A child’s life improves the moment you demonstrate a willingness to care.
Today 31 of the 48 children on our waiting list are boys who live without the guidance of men in their lives. In addition, these 31 boys have waited an average of 10 months for a real man to step up and be their mentor.
Kinship Partners serves families in Crow Wing County, southern Cass County and the Staples/Motley area by providing positive role models to youth from the ages of 5 to 14. We have offices in Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby and Staples.
Mentoring is simple and the most successful relationships are built around common shared activities and interests. We provide the support, structure and supervision needed to make sure everyone experiences a safe and positive relationship. You only need to be yourself — a caring adult, willing to spend time with a child who needs a role model.
Will you consider giving the gift of friendship by becoming a mentor?
