Lady of the Lakes Parish host capital fund drive

Our Lady of the Lakes Parish (with Catholic churches in Pequot Lakes, Pine River and Nisswa) announces its capital fund drive.

The "One Faith - One Family - One Future" campaign aims to raise funds to make critically needed improvements at the Pine River church (Our Lady of Lourdes) and to construct a new church on County Road 29 on the border of Pequot Lakes and Nisswa to serve the southern half of the parish.

The minimum goal for the campaign is $2 million. "Challenge" and "miracle" goals have also been set and, if met, would enable the church to move forward with the $4 million construction of a new church with minimal or no debt.

The campaign will start with a kickoff celebration Sunday, July 22, and will end with Commitment Weekend Sept. 22-23. Parish members and select others will be personally invited to support the project during that time.

Widseth Smith Nolting is providing the architectural, surveying and engineering services for the project.

Our Lady of the Lakes Parish began in July 2015 with the merger of Our Lady of Lourdes in Pine River, St. Christopher's in Nisswa and St. Alice in Pequot Lakes.
