Army Pvt. Dillin M. Huston, son of Kevin and Barb Mills, Brainerd, recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Air Force Staff Sgt. David S. Albertson, son of Dale R. Albertson and Lisa K. Johnson, Brainerd, has deployed to Iraq to serve in support of Operation New Dawn, the formerly named Operation Iraqi Freedom. Albertson, an aircraft hydraulic systems with six years of military service, is normally assigned to the 62nd Maintenance Squadron at McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Wash.

Army Pvt. Christopher W. Solway, son of Joanie Robben, Motley, and Rory Solway, Oakdale, recently graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Kevin Horschel, son of Fred and Elaine Horschel, Staples, has been promoted to the rank of sergeant first class in the U.S. Army. Horschel, a platoon sergeant with 14 years of military service, is assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas.
