10-year class reunion planned

Class of 2002 of Brainerd High School will have its 10-year class reunion from 6-9 p.m. Aug. 25 at Zorbaz on Gull Lake.

Brainerd Legion meeting

The Auxiliary Executive Committee meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion.

Brainerd Garden Club

The Brainerd Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at the Northland Arboretum. There will be a tour of several area parks and gardens. Visitors are welcome.

Ovarian cancer support group to meet July 12

NISSWA — The next Ovarian Cancer Support Group meeting will be Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Nisswa American Legion, in the lower level meeting room, located at 25807 Main Street, Nisswa.

The meeting is free and ovarian cancer survivors, family members and friends are invited. The support group, named Team Teal of the North, is sponsored by the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA,

Baxter Lions Club

The Baxter Lions Club will meet on Monday at Camp Vanasek. The board meeting is at 6 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting is at 7 p.m.

Memory Loss Support and Education Group to meet July 12

WADENA — Tri-County Health Care (TCHC) and the National Alzheimer’s Association will host the next Memory Loss Support Group for Caregivers meeting on Thursday starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Wesley Conference Room, located on the lower level of TCHC. NAARFE to meet

The Brainerd Chapter No. 738 National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet Tuesday at the Countryside Restaurant in Motley. Social time starts at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at 12:30 p.m. A presentation will be made by Perry Nouis from Congressman Chip Cravaack’s office.

Senior dance

There will be a senior dance from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Motley with music by Country Pride.

WHS Class of 1946 to meet

Brainerd’s Washington High School class of 1946 will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Pizza Ranch, North Pointe Center, 14643 Edgewood Dr., Baxter. Bring a friend. Order from the menu. Call Dick at 838-0738 for information or a reservation.

Quilt club to meet

Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet at 6:45 p.m. Monday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Program will be Doug Leko from Antler Quilt Design of Blaine. There will be a wrap up of the quilt show. Quilters show and tell is encouraged.

Class ‘52 and retired fire people

BAXTER —The Class of ‘52 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday for lunch at Bonanza to update plans for the 60th Class Reunion.

Retired fire people will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday for breakfast at the Wings Café at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.

VFW events

The Brainerd VFW Post 1647 and Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Home Post at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Other upcoming events include the VFW Auxiliary Fish Fry scheduled Friday, serving from 5:30 p.m. until gone. Cost is $8 and everyone is welcome.

Rich’s Road Tripin’ Karaoke will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14; and Sunday Breakfast will be held Sunday, July 15th, serving from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $6 and everyone is welcome.

Mary Margaret guild to meet

Mary Margaret Guild with St. Francis Catholic Church will meet at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Northwinds Grille in Brainerd.

NARVRE to meet

The National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees (NARVRE) will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brainerd Public Library. All present and retired railroad employees, spouses, widows and widowers of railroad employees are eligible and welcome to attend. Lunch to follow.

Dues are to be sent to Avis Lee, P.O. Box 86, Pillager, MN 56473. There will not be a meeting in August.
