| The Pequot Lakes 14-U AAA team won the Breezy Point Summer Ice Fest tournament Sunday. In the championship game, Pequot Lakes defeated the Minnesota Junior Wild 5-4 as Zoe Wolhart scored the winning goal in a shootout. Pequot Lakes also defeated the Minnesota Thunder 3-1, Cambridge 4-1 and the Junior Gophers 3-0. |

| Crow Wing County Princess Molli Koering greeted the first baby born in June, Madison Mae Kinnan, daughter of Thomas and Jeri Kinnan of Breezy Point, with a $50 savings bond and a basket of dairy products. Madison Mae was born at 1:31 a.m. June 1 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
