She will share her successes and failures over the last 14 years of starting seeds of Minnesota native plants. She has collected seeeds on foot, via kayak, boat and snowmobile in order to provide a plethora of extra hardy and mostly deer resistant plants that thrive in challenging sites.

One does not need to be a native plant purist in order to benefit from learing to grow perennials and native plants from seed. These tough denizens of our dunes, woodlands, prairies and shores make excellent partners to more commonly used perennials such as hostas and daylilies.

The program is free to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Sponsored by the Wild Ones Native Landscapers LTD Brainerd Chapter, and Northland Arboretum.
