Starting native plants from seed presented Feb. 17 by ‘Plant Lady’

Bonnie Hiniker, “The Plant Lady” from Sunshine Gardens, will discuss how to start native plants from seed at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Northland  Arboretum.

She will share her successes and failures over the last 14 years of starting seeds of Minnesota native plants. She has collected seeeds on foot, via kayak, boat and snowmobile in order to provide a plethora of extra hardy and mostly deer resistant plants that thrive in challenging sites.
