PEQUOT LAKES — The voters have spoken, and the word was: “Yes.”

Pequot Lakes School District voters approved a $33.175 million bond referendum Tuesday, with 1,352 yes votes to 910 no votes, a 442-vote difference.

Pequot Lakes voters cast 1,031 yes votes and 560 no votes, passing by nearly a 2-1 margin. Crosslake voters also approved the referendum but by a smaller margin with 236 yes votes to 184 no votes.
