Flipped FedEx truck causes traffic detour
The driver escaped serious injury but his FedEx delivery semi and two trailers suffered extensive damaged after tipping onto its side early Wednesday morning in the northbound lane of Highway 371 south of Brainerd.
The semi-truck flipped about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 371 near Sleepy Hollow Road near Crow Wing Lake, the State Patrol reported.
The semi-truck and one trailer came to rest in the traffic lanes, forcing authorities to detour traffic for more than an hour while crews worked to right the truck. Crews continued to work until past 2 p.m. Wednesday to remove the second trailer, which was in the median.
The driver, Christopher Goulson, 44, was treated at Essentia Health’s St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and discharged.
