Brainerd Community Ed classes still have openings


Brainerd Community Education still has spots open in some of the adult classes. 

Classes with openings include:

• Computer classes taught by Cindy Benedett, Microsoft certified instructor: Intro to computers and windows to be held Monday; Office 2010 Inteo, Thursday; and Intro to Word, Feb. 28. Classes all cost $40 and will held from 6-9 p.m. at Brainerd High School.


• Recycled ideas for jeans to be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Instructor is Jo Anne Flom and the cost is $8. Flom will provide patterns and ideas of things you can make from jean material such as placemats, pot holders, bag holders, quilts, pillows and more.

• Group Hypnosis-quit smoking or lose weight from 6-9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Cost is $52. Facilitator will be Janel A. Lamp-Wiese of New Way Hypnosis Clinic.

• “Cook for the Week in One Day with Chef Matt Annand from Prairie Bay” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Forestview. Cost is $35. Learn how to prepare and organize your food and kitchen so you can spend less time cooking and more time with family.
