LITTLE FALLS — A Minnesota Beyond the Yellow Ribbon recognition program will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. March 15 at the Lindbergh Elementary School Performing Arts Center in Little Falls.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is working with Morrison County as well as other Minnesota cities and counties to create local networks of support for service members, military families and employers before, during and after a military deployment.
The Minnesota National Guard has pioneered the program in hopes of changing how service members are reintegrated back to their communities.
The meeting will include a welcome by Camp Ripley Post Commander Col. Scott St. Sauver, a presentation by Annette Kuyper, director of military outreach for the Minnesota National Guard, who will provide an overview of the state’s Yellow Ribbon recognition program. Volunteers will be sought to join the Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee in developing a plan to infuse support to service members and military families throughout all areas of the community.
