State fire school at CLC Saturday and Sunday


The Minnesota State Fire School will be held Saturday and Sunday at Central Lakes College. 

The fire school is sponsored by St. Cloud Technical and Community College. More than 30 classes will be conducted, including new building construction, damage control, fire investigation, fire pump operation, vehicle extrication, gas monitors and fireground aggressiveness. 


The Brainerd Fire Department will have 15 firefighters attending the training, with about 225 firefighters scheduled to attend from the area. The Brainerd Fire Department also will assist the school with technical support throughout the weekend.
