Nouis steps down as Morrison GOP chairman
LITTLE FALLS — The Executive Committee of the Morrison County Republican Party accepted the resignation of Perry Nouis Thursday night during the committee’s monthly meeting in Little Falls.
Nouis, who was re-elected chairman of the Morrison County GOP in February, submitted his resignation after accepting a staff position with 8th District Congressman Chip Cravaack. Nouis will serve as the congressman’s District Press Secretary, and he has been named manager of Cravaack’s Constituent Services Office in Brainerd, which opened May 3.
“It has been a tremendous honor to serve in a leadership capacity in the Morrison County Republican Party,” said Nouis, who was first elected chairman in 2007. “I am very much looking forward to assisting Congressman Cravaack as he serves the people of the 8th Congressional District.”
Patricia Wilczek of Little Falls was named to succeed Nouis. Wilczek was elected a vice-chairwoman of the party in February. In accepting the chairmanship, Wilczek said she will work to involve more youth in the political process.
