Tyler Jensen, son of Ed and Jolene Jensen, has received the Monica Tsang and James Weatherbee Merit Scholarship for $3,000. Jensen is a third year major in biology, College of Biological Science.
AEC students of the month for April were Jennifer Celley, Logan Huber, Samantha Johnson and Amber Jordan-Simmons.
Kaila Eberhardt, daughter of Julie and Dan Eberhardt, Baxter, granddaughter of Honey Olin, Ironton, and Dale and Grace Eberhardt, Baxter, was part of a group of 70 students from the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, and Saint John’s University, Collegeville, accepted into the Theta of Minnesota Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at CSB/SJU. She also recently graduated from the College of St. Benedict. She was accepted to do her internship at the University of Minnesota in August.

Hans D. Stadem, Baxter, graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island. He received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and a bachelor of science degree in ocean engineering.
Stasya Zarling, daughter of Deby and Larry Zarling, Brainerd, recently graduated from John Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received a doctorate from the molecular biology and genetics program in immunology. She is currently working at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, Md., on a vaccine for malaria.
Philip C. Nachbar, 2007 graduate from Pequot Lakes High School, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in Applied Economics and Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York during the 143rd commencement. Nachbar graduated cum laude, is a member of the Delta Phi fraternity and was the online marketing manager at the Cornell Daily Sun newspaper. He will be starting his career this summer with Rosetta Marketing Group in New York City where he interned last year.
