Fort Ripley child struck by truck

FORT RIPLEY — An 8-year-old boy on a bike was struck by a pickup truck Saturday morning, the Morrison County Sheriff’s office reported.

The crash was reported at 10:50 a.m. Saturday on Jewel Road, north of County Road 48.

A 40-year-old Fort Ripley man was driving a Ford F-150 south on Jewel Road when the boy came across the highway, crashing with the pickup. The boy was transported by North Aircare to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Sunday the Morrison County Sheriff’s office declined to release names of the driver or the injured boy and reported it did not have an update on the boy’s condition. Without the boy’s name, an update could not be obtained from the hospital.
