Pequot Lakes superintendent is a finalist for Farmington post

PEQUOT LAKES — Pequot Lakes Superintendent Rick Linnell was named as one of four finalists in the search for a Farmington School District superintendent.

The Star Tribune of Minneapolis listed Linnell; Jay Haugen, superintendent of West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan schools; Kelly Smith, superintendent of Belle Plaine schools; and Rod Thompson, superintendent of the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District.

The Farmington School Board was scheduled to conduct another round of interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Linnell, who has been Pequot Lakes superintendent since 2006, could not be reached for comment Friday.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
